Wasted Day, drove 3 hrs to look at a dozer today, thought I was buying it until I found a leak in the front...then drove it...OOPS! It wasn't want I thought.
However, the guy had a Cat D3B I got the Serial number and I was told I could go and look it up on the web...I CANT FIND IT. Does anyone know how to tell year etc from serial number? 45v45781

look at the model number for one thing. the b tells you the years the thing was produced. i dont know right off the top of my head with out calling my teacher who is a old cat tech. sry your best bet is calling cat dealer.
