Just did this, took about 2 minutes, can't wait until it's dark to see how it lights things up!!!

can i get this diode at advanced auto parts? my radio shack down a while back?

you would need to go to an electronics store...or online..

its not really an automotive part in any way

I just did the mod on my 2001. You have to do both the driver's side and passanger's sides but it is super easy. You cut the yellow wire from the low beam light socket and ground it. Make sure you cut it long enough so that it will reach your grounding point. I just tucked the cut end (harness side) back into the harness. It took 10 mins. to do both sides and onlt requires two crimp connectors. I can't wait for dark!
