Thinking you have a continuous flow of hydraulic fluid as with the Allison is incorrect, IMO.

Valvoline Dexron VI. Pretty much the same fluid you use in your Allison tranny.

Would Transynd work? I have a lot left over from my last tranny oil change.

After my little hill climbing adventure, Dmax finally met its match mine’s toast and needs a flush….Time to go synthetic with the DexVI and Flush the Brake fluid…pedal’s gettin’ strange and mushy.

Do we have to pay a shop to do this to stay in warrantee?

If not, how much fluid do I buy?

No different than changing your own oil...except it’s maybe easier.

A couple of qts can do it, no more than a gallon...till you see it run clear.
