u-joint brands

had a squeak read up on the forums and talk to my mch. I knew it was rear baring or u-joint my mch. agreed it maybe more a u-joint.... so I'm going to replace them both. what's a good brand or company. I don't have a chip or anything just 6" lift 33's. greasable or sealed... future reference for people this type of squeak if or are trying to figure out what squeak they have if it sounds like its resonating remember aluminum driveshafts resonate these sounds which helps narrow down the problems....

who likes what u joints lol

When you say CV-joint do you mean U-joint?

I dont believe they make CTMs for driveshafts, only axles.

Spicers are good. Neapco's in the black box are good, but neapco has some cheaper offerings like the PDQ and Brute force line that are JUNK and offered/reboxed by many of the parts stores. Precisions are also absolute junk and reboxed by a bunch of parts stores.

I personally like the sealed/forged OE spicer joints. IMHO the greaseable joints probably need to be greased more than the trucks get there oil changed if you run in adverse conditions. Deep snow/plowing snow, off road in the slop alot etc. The greaseable joints have nothing to keep the crap out, just a little rubber boot, so if your not pumping fresh grease in, nothing is pushing the dirty contaminated stuff out.

Spicers if you can find them, a lot of local shops dont carry them. You will see precision everywhere, they are junk.
CTM are axleshaft only joints, they wouldnt last long at all on the highway, they dont have roller bearings just a bronze bushing and grease, they are insanely strong but only good for slow speed intermittent use, they melt down on the highway (trust me I know from experience)
