rear diff fluid

going to have my rear gears done in a few days is there any fluid you guys would use off the shelf? it will have 4:88s and 38s and tows alot. thanks for the help

Id stick with 4.56's. The pinion on those 4.88's is gunna be hella small.

4.56 and 37's is right at what factory 3.73 and pizza cutter tires would be.


75-90 with limited slip additive will work just fine.

i got the 4:88s already for the rear and i got a d60 up front that had them in already. any brand u would use? thanks

I agree 4.56 are as low as i would go. I've got 4.56 in my truck with 37's. great for towing. i was thinking about installing a gear vender for when I'm not towing to keep to rpm's lower

I guess no one has answered your question yet. I use mobile 1 syn. I'm mine. Randy's ring and pinion did mine and that's what they told me to use.

i did mobile 1 75/90 synthetic at 140k. its still doing fine at 191k!

i would use oem gears if they make that gear size.

no they dont i looked. i went with g2. they say oem style? we see what happens lol
