| Driveshaft swap length I'm swapping my two piece driveshaft to a one piece. Lined everything up before cutting off the carrier bearing bracket and the shaft sticks out of the yoke about 1 inch. I know guys run lifts and all without swapping them so I was wondering if one inch out of the lip seal is acceptable? Part of it may be the roadmaster suspension is it lifts up the rear end a little bit.

| what shaft u go with? my shaft was something like 89 3/8 inch or somehwere in there. how long was yours being a shortbed?

| Wow, thats long. Is it a crew long bed or because its 2wd? I didn't know they could balance that long of a one piece but thats awesome your able to get rid of that two piece, I didn't like mine at all and had alot of shudder and vibrations. The one I used is the spicer shaft that GM used for the ccsb allison trucks, it is 70 3/4 in long. It is 1 1/4 inch shorter than my two piece. It seems a good portion is still in the transfer though. I did have to use a combination joint because my 1480 yoke, it is chinese crap. I am looking to get a good deal on a 1410 yoke Asap so I can have some quality in the rear end.

| yeah im pretty much at the max that the company would make one. worked out being 4x4. if it was 2wd it wouldnt have worked i dont think. cc longbed. i went through driveshaft specialists in tx. its 5 inch aluminum. he said i wont break it, challenge accepted.
