Bah... Its not bad. Its just like anyplace in the winter that gets snow. Except in the winter it rains..... ALOT. But for summertime you just cant beat it. All be it a short one, it is the best in the lower 48 I have ever seen. Out of the four places I can be stationed, I like the Whidbey the best. JAX is way to hot, Hawaii.. well island fever sets in and you just start getting depressed(spent 9 yrs there), Brunswick Maine, is balls cold in the the winter, and Whidbey you get alot of rain. But if you are into outdoors activities and like small town living Whidbey is the place to be. IMO.
