I heard all about Whidbey Is. No bueno!!! heard that place just outright sucks during the winter! and you have been there too many times!

Bah... Its not bad. Its just like anyplace in the winter that gets snow. Except in the winter it rains..... ALOT. But for summertime you just cant beat it. All be it a short one, it is the best in the lower 48 I have ever seen. Out of the four places I can be stationed, I like the Whidbey the best. JAX is way to hot, Hawaii.. well island fever sets in and you just start getting depressed(spent 9 yrs there), Brunswick Maine, is balls cold in the the winter, and Whidbey you get alot of rain. But if you are into outdoors activities and like small town living Whidbey is the place to be. IMO.

If anyone has questions about the Pugeot Sound area or Navy P-3's in general feel free to hit me up. I will do my best to answer any questions.

Went to Basic Training at Ft Lewis, WA, Oct-Dec 69.
Wherever we went and whatever we did was in the rain.
You just get accustomed to it.

CPL USMC 08-Oct-1991 Thru 15-July-1994 (Medically Discharged, But with my Honorable on the wall as well)

Boot Camp @ Parris Island
1st Battalion Delta Co.
PLT & Co Honor Graduate 03-January-1992

Then MCT @ Camp Devil Dog

Then On To Camp Del Mar for 2141 AAV Mechanic Training

Then onto Camp Kinser, Okinawa

Then onto 29 Palms, California

Then out.

The worst thing that has ever happened to me was the day they told me that my appeal to the medical board was denied and I was being discharged.

Thanks to ALL for your service no matter how impressive you think it is/was or might not be. It takes every single member of the military for this country to be protected and the fact that you are in says it all!

Semper Fi!!!
