Does he give you his cell phone# to help you on a Sunday evening when you are laying on your back in tranny fluid and have install problems(damn where does that spring and little ball go?) and need the truck to go to work in the morning?

Sometimes deals are worth it, sometimes they are not.

I agree IdahoRob, I am willing to pay a little more from one of the vendors on this site to have the peace of mind that if something goes wrong I know they are there to help. That's just my 2 cents though.

Mike L. is always willing to help, even if you did not buy from him. That's why when I pick up my SunCoast kit, I'll get it from him.

I bought the kit on ebay because I feel confident I will not have any problem installing it. I have been working on cars and trucks for the better part of 20 years. I do not out- source anything. I would not have posted the find if I did not think there were other people out there who were interested. I hessitated posting it because of this reason. When you buy anything you take a risk, It does not matter who you buy it from. Can you call the dealer you bought your truck from in the middle of the night when you are broke down on the side of the road???Would you have bought the truck from them Knowing this??? Simple fact is you got a good deal and you took it. That is all I did. Keep in mind it is a brand name kit that most vendors on site sell as well. It is not like it is a no name brand with no Nationally recognized company backing it. If you do not feel secure installing it then don't. Most people will take it to a shop. Which in turn they still saved a couple bucks. I will also guarantee you any vendor on site will not warranty installation. They only warrant the product

I could not agree more. I can understand supporting the vendors on here, but they should understand that I work hard for my money and if I can save 50% on anything that leaves more money that I can spend with them

I understand about making the buck go far in this day and age. When it is something like a transmission upgrade where you will have a complex piece of equipment torn apart, then saving 50.00 does not sound like a bargin to me.
