Question efi live on lmm

the guys at the diesel shop by my house are trying to talk me into scapping my banks six gun tuner and getting a efi live with there custom tunes. He is telling me their will be 5 settings like stock, mpg, street, drag, and tow. not sure on the HP on the tunes. I asked about the MPG's on the highway and he said a chevy like mine with 38's is getting 25 on the highway this sounds a little wishful. I am currently getting 21 on the highway with my current setup. What do you guys think? Scrap my quadzilla and banks six bank and put the 800 bucks up for the 5 tunes and the install?

Not gunna lie that guy is full of bs! With 38s you'd be lucky to get 20 on the highway max. Who is this carl trying to pawn efi on you? Efilive would be a good upgrade from your banks but this guy doesn't sound like a good dealer if he's not on efilives list of tuners I wouldn't waste your money

800 sounds a little steep it is usualy like 500 for custom tunes. And you will most likely not let 25 mpg but you might if you drive right. I have seen 25mpg out of my truck on the highway but I only have 33"

the guy said he had someone who had 38's on their making the mpgs. I have 33's on mine. As far as the guys who is writing the tunes it is a guy in utah who worked for efi and is now working for diablo tunes and is suppose to be a duramax only programmer. I feel like calling bullshit but i like to check things out first with guys who have used efi.

I can see you getting 20+ mpg with EFI. If the tuner is any good. It will perform alot better than the banks or the quad for sure. It was night and day difference when I made the switch.

Also for another 100 bucks or so you can probably get a V2, 5 tunes and the switch.

Dont do it. Go with a reputable tuner if you want to upgrade.

With my setup I see 15ish on the highway with EFI. Now granted that is a lot of rolling hills around here for highway driving. But a lift and 38s, there is no way I could believe he sees 25mpg.
