EFI Live

After weeks of no I say months of trying to decide on a tuner I went with EFI Live and all I can say is "WOW". I went to So Cal Diesel (right next to my house) and Guy Tripp played around for a few hours and set me up with a 100/ 200 tune and I love it. I have very little smoke which I like and on the way home I punched it at an an Intersection full of Prop 8 protesters and they all stopped their chant and stared. EFI everyone I have no experience with any other tuners but I like it so far. I leave for Vegas on Sunday and will post any fuel economy changes.

I have heard that Guy Tripp is very good with EFI. I am glad you are happy with your purchase.

Guy is one of the nicest guys I know. I would venture to say that him and Mike L are THE most helpful and kindest guys in the duramax aftermarket. Both of them will go out of their way to help you out with anything even if you a few thousand miles away. And the best part is neither one EVER tries to sell you anything unless you ask.

I wonder if your truck was the one guy was tuning last night when I talked to him at bout 5:30 your time. I couldnt get ahold of mike so I called guy with some tranny questions. GUy has only ever built one tranny and that was 4 years ago, but he said his famous line, "lets see what we can learn".

I had a question on the output shaft nut and he happened to have an allison parts manual, a couple faxes and phone calls later and we were able to get it fingered out.

I bought my EFI through him too and he has helped me to the best of his ability over the phone.

I would probably be in the blind right now without either one of those guys.

That would have been mine. I was there until just after 6. It was like a technology class. He walked me through the tune, whey he was doing each, what each adjustment was for and then what I should avoid. He answered all my questions and made sure I knew what he was doing and why.

Gossfam- are you running the Edge Insight? If not, what Edge are you using- I am too contemplating EFI Live. Does anyone on here use HP Tuners?? Close friend has it and all we would have to do is buy the credits and some sample programs to do the install with it,,,,

ya he always wants to teach you everything and loves learning new things himself.

Kind of a small world eh. Im talking to him as hes tuning your truck. hehe.
