Dsp5 switch not grounded do I need to do a full flash on the ECM - Page 2

I don't know of a way to check if it's working but if the shop messed up installing the ground wire I would double check their work or bring it back to them and tell them they messed up. If I were you though just check it yourself.

So I checked all the wires they are all good . Now I don't know what to do next ... Do a full reflash????

You can ground the DSP5 switch under the dash.

Here is a diagram for testing the switch voltage.

Are you sure the DSP5 is not working? Meaning you do not feel any difference in 1-5 while driving? Have you tried using a voltage meter on the switch? I am asking because I thought I had the same issue as you but discovered through ADP (who did the install) that the LMM ECM (using the autocal) will show DSP5 and then non-DSP5 for the next 4 levels. Give ADP a call and ask for David.

A good way to determine if the DSP5 switch is working while you are driving is to set the DSP5 switch to a tow setting and push the tow buttom on the shifter. Go find a hill to drive down and as the engine is braking, move the DSP5 switch to another setting and you should feel less engine braking if the switch is indeed working.

You can defiantly feel the 5stages in the switch itself I have not yet checked the voltages
