Dsp5 switch not grounded do I need to do a full flash on the ECM

I found the dsp5 switch was not grounded I was wondering if I have to do a full ECM flash again to program the ECM . I was using the autocal to do a system scan and tried to test the dsp switch and nothing happened found the black wire was not clipped in all the way now it says non-dsp and then goes to dsp5 help please

I dont think you have to flash it again. I flashed mine before installing the dsp5 switch and it worked just fine after installing it

But using the auto cal scan it just showes non-dsp5 and then flips to dsp5 ???

did you make sure your red wire clicked(hear it) into to the correct spot? Did you follow any DIY on how to do it?

No I had the shop install it initially but was checking things with the scan on the auto cal and that's how I found the ground wire. As for the correct spots I hope there right thats where the shop guys put them

Stealthboogie how can I tell if the dsp switch is not working ?? do I just replace it??

Watch one of the how to videos and then look at your connectors, I'll bet it's hooked up wrong. You can also check the resistance between the 2 wires as you select the positions on the switch. I don't recall the actual numbers, but they will all be different
