Anyone have any idea when the software changes will take effect? And will these updates and removal of features be for all controllers or just the Dmax controllers? I have a buddy that i helped button up an LS2 swap for a hot rod and he's planning on ditching his LS edit for EFI live. But he's going to need to be able to edit out emissions stuff. Ide like to give him a heads up, but some more details on when the software will change would be nice.

Anyone one, professional or not, for profit or personal use can and will be treated the same, if you delete it you could be in trouble.

I highly doubt they care, its always going to happen, people will always use software or some other means to alter their vehicle.

Gasser guys are also not exempt if they disable the emissions.

It's all hype and BS if you ask me.

As long add you have an older copy of the software,I would assume you'd be alright. That's what hptuners did, anyway

What i was getting at is should someone who needs to be able to disable the Evap, EGR etc be purchasing soon before all the new V2s contain software omitting these tables?

Eh, unless they require the latest version to register, no. Just download 7.5 from their site now and hold onto it

I think by making a big deal about all of this we are just perpetuating the image and making a bigger statement to other companies that offer similar products.

You know this could be a Beotch for all on the tuning side as well, normally when one mfg plays kindly with the man, they all do. Not shifting gears here just find all of this highly interesting.
