We've been saying it for a long time, but people felt it was their right. My question is, was your right to make a smoke tune worth losing the ability to remove DPFs with EFI Live? We may have still lost them, but would it have happened so quickly.

It sounds like EFI Live made this step voluntarily without force from anybody else. Granted this was due to anticipation of the EPA coming after them without a leg to stand on, but it was still their own decision based on what they saw and felt they could reasonably defend.

Well, I went to a funeral at a Baptist church today. Got to smoke out a whole new place. I was just starting to "fuel up" this morning in anticipation, then got a call from my mom that she needed a ride there so unfortunately i held back on some of the dusting.

Just wait, soon they will make it so expensive and pointless to own a diesel that nobody will buy them and we will all be stuck buying gas guzzlers. Just my perspective of the hd truck market in the future

^^^^^^^^That is exactly their goal.......

Lets not forget that with all the DPF deleted and or tuned diesels out there, the government has lost millions of dollars in fuel tax revenue......they definitely don't want that!!

Boy it would be nice if EFI (now that they are going to block stuff for the US) would develop programming for the LMLs too.

Good news is that those older trucks will depreciate alot slower now.

Just saw an article today, will try to find the link, the EPA now says going green by utilizing alternative fuels are not as good as they would have hoped. IE: wood burning stoves, bio fueled burners and so on.
I think a user above stated it best, you increase the efficiency and therm gets short changed. That equates to stricter regs to enforce revenues at the cost of the citizens.
