Great job guys lots of good information there. I do have a question though. If you have the PPE in your truck and you get your buddy to put an EFI live tune in your truck is the PPE now use less or can you still use the remote thing to reset service engine soon lights and stuff like that? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

not dumb at all but I believe even having an EFI tune in the truck, it doesnt take away from the diagnostic capabilities of the PPE, you can still read and clear codes

The EFI Live V2 controller will allow you to read/clear codes. It will also offer black box logging. A scan tool far better than any canned tuner comes with.

The V2 is also avail at a lower price with just the scan tool/software and is fully upgradable to the tune tool at a later time.

I have a question. How come no one promotes the v1? This is what I have and I got it because I didn't have the money to do the v2. I know the data logging and all that is different between the two. Thanks for all the advice all the tuners on here give.

Here you go. This is a couple years old, so the pricing is not correct.

The V1 is kind of a dinosaur. No scanning/logging without a laptop. Basically just a pass through cable. Everything needs to be done with a laptop.

Noteworthy to point out, with respect to tuning capability, the V1 and V2 are equivalent.
