So how does GM expect to keep a diesel at or even close to operating temp when its -40 out? Mike they got rid of the elevated idle on my truck sometime last may because of tranny failure and i dont want to by a tranny just yet since my warrenty is most likly void

Might just take it to the dealer and see what they say
isnt the fast idle just in the programming?
I dont really want to go to the dealer cause i might just leave the truck there and go buy a f..d

My 2009 3500 still has the elevated idle. That's odd yours did not come with it as an option unless the truck might have been destined to go south? The vmac guys are good and I am sure if you give a call to them in Nanaimo someone could help you.
Good luck!

Efi live cant do nothing with the high or elevated idle that i know of, it is programmed in the BCM from what i found out. It has to be factory eqquipped for the high idle to work.
Elevated idle is controlled in the DIC, high idle is by the cruise controls with the e-brake on if so equiped.

looking at a wiring diagram and saw a wire going to a PTO module. It says its dark green / white and the module is on front right outer frame.

Mike,
Would the LBZ high idle switch work on the LMMs also?

I'm wiring the high idle switch into mine. Sometimes I want to warm it up fast when its not below 32º. I want to be able to use it for the A/C also.
