IMO, just like any other tune, just less of everything. my tow tune only has 210000Us pulse width and 22* of timing. stock has about 1700 pluse width and 18* of timing.
my tow tune is my favorite daily drive tune because it runs a little more egt's than stock, has 350rwhp, and gets great mileage for such a small tune.
my tow tune actually has less boost at 65 than my stock tune does, but maxes out at 26psi while stock is around 24psi. Also, you can lower your desired boost levels at cruising speed to help in MPG's. now, at 65, i cruise at 2psi instead of 6psi with the same tune.

And heres one for the tuners too. My buddy has a powerstoke with a bully dog. The manual for it said do not tow on 100 extra hp. 3000lbs or less on 75hp, 6000lbs or less on 50hp (not sure if extact weights). Whats the deal with less hp for a heavier trailer. My tune is around 400hp, and i tow about 4500-5000lbs with that on. Is that bad?

yeah your pistons are prolly hating life...and with a stock tranny...the stock HP is ~300 at the rear wheels so 400hp is over 100hp over stock thats not even safe without ANY load...the reason it says this is because the more fuel you throw at it the higher the egt's will be then add weight and you start getting too high egt's

Ya thats sounds about right... LOL But from what I can see with that tune and the stock theres no difference in temps. But I wont really be able to tell until I finish my gauges.

have gauges just got to put them in
I'm thinking a tow tune almost needs to be custom made for everyone. You need gauges if you've done anything to your truck. I pulled a empty 5x7 single axle trailer and egt's went from 5-7 hundred to 8-1000.
efi live is not a good system my opinion i have many buddies that run it and unless the designers of duramax gives you a tune dont trust some guy that thinks he knows what he is doing
interesting opinion, there are a decent amount of people running efi live and the only time that it becomes and issue is when major changes are made by inexperienced people or pushing the limits of stock parts.
