I agree EFI is the best system out there. In the wrong hands it can go horrible wrong and distroy a very expensive motor LOL. But it can also create a tune that no other tuner can and also any tune that other tuners can. How can you beat that?

What? Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Do you really think that the "Designers" of the Duramax are the only ones in the world that could ever grasp the complexities of tuning a modern diesel? If that thought process was used all the time then Rudolf Diesel would have never given us what we have today. EFI Live can be used by anyone. It all starts with math. Pulse width and timing.......It's all mathematically based. If you know your RPM's then you can figure out how big of a pulse width and timing you can run before you begin to chase the piston back down the hole with fuel and cause high EGT's. Please know what you are talking about before you make a comment.

I don't believe there is a "tow tune". I believe it is a tune that works with YOUR truck how it is set up with what you pull to keep EGT's in line and your trans alive if you are running a stock tranny. I run a 550+ HP tune as my tow tune. The bigger trubo with the bigger exhaust housing and a built tranny would make a tow tune for me different than a tow tune for a guy with a stock truck.

a tow tune is just a mild tune, slight increases of fuel and timing.

all you guys that have efi live for 50 to 100 horse tune what is the point why dont u not waste time or money and buy something that has a background and millions of dollars in research to make the best power for the money for instance my 6 gun even with it on 6 doesnt blow a bit of smoke find a tune with a efi live that does that and trust me i have done research on efi live talked to a lot of people with it just because everybody has it doesnt mean it good and safe maybe you guys should talk to the right people instead of people that has the program that run 50 horse tunes out of it

wow ok dude with three posts stop sucking at the gale banks teat. yes people who run 100hp tunes with efi may be dumb but the best PPE and Banks systems cost just as much.

i know a tow tune will be different for everyone’s truck but im talking about broad spectrum information. Like timing differences, pulse widths and things of that nature.
