23 MPG with EFILive

Just got my EFILive and two tunes from IdahoRob...Took a 420 mile trip (no trailer) with camping gear and 4 people and averaged 23.3 MPG according to my DIC...I know the DIC is not always right but I do know that I averaged above 20 MPG for the whole trip because I have 410 miles on a tank so far with 1/8 of a tank left...I haven't filled up yet but when I do I'll let you know when the hand calculated amount is...Just thought I'd let you know that we can get good MPG's if tuned properly with a light foot. The tranny shifted smooth. Love it.

Cool deal. Glad it is working out. I just came back from an event and put 450 miles on a tank. Hand calculated to 20.5mpg with the A/C on and mountain driving.

Keep us informed on the hand calc.

Thanks for the input!

Try one on the way over and the other on the way back. Usually a sanely driven race tune will get better mileage.

I get my best MPG on my race tune as long as I keep my foot out of it.

Wow I'd say thats impressive! Your giving me second thoughts on selling my EFI live. What size tires do you have? I'll get a good MPG report this weekend after a 400 mile trip im going on!

Usually race tuning runs more timing and fuel pressure. Both help with efficency, to a point.
