I just got and flashed my tunes from ridge runner onto my 2005 lly. Love the tunes and got the 200 hp tune as the highest one on a stock trans, (I know I like to live on the edge). My question is does anyone know how much torque the 200 hp tune would actually add? My mods list is lbz mouthpiece, arp head studs, 200 efi ridge runner tunes, cold air intake, fass 150 with sump, pcv reroute and I think that's it. And would anyone have a compareable setup that has run it on the dyno? Thanks in advance!
Surely Tony warned you about this. 90hp over stock is more than enough to destroy a stock 5 speed. I ran on a 100hp tune for 6 months and now been on the 60hp for 6 months and my trans is trashed in a years time, My tunes are PPEI btw. Even if you drove it super easy, I don't think it would last very long. 5 speeds do NOT like extra power.
IF your trans is still OK by now, I would highly recommend manual 4-5 and 5-4 shifts ONLY until you have some pennies saved for the trans... AND a good qualified shop lined up to do the work. Even "easy" 5-4 downshifts can cause limp. Yours WILL limp sooner than later! As for dyno numbers on a similar setup, my butt dyno tells me I got PLENTY of extra power with my mods!
As far as torque #'s that's a ? you need to ask your tuner.
I doubt many will run a 200hp tune, if they did more than likely they broke it before they ever made it to a dyno.
The EDGE Insight CS2/CTS2 offers HP & Torque pids to monitor.
If it does for your year Dmax 'dunno;
That's something you can ask EDGE, unless other forum members know and chime in.
Trans is still alive and well guys thanks for the concern lol, when I say I baby it I mean I haven't made it downshift in like three months at least. and its not like I daily it on 200 either lol. Thanks for the replies!
