Well, I finally did all of the maintenance to my truck that I have been meaning to do. I changed the trans fluid and filter, power steering fluid, front and rear diffs, transfer case, oil and filter and fuel filter. I noticed something when I went to grease the 11 lube points on the front end, the upper ball joint grease boots are torn all to hell and I can tell that it's because of the severe angle on them due to my torsion bars being cranked all the way up. I only have 80,000 miles and IMO they should not be in that bad of shape. Just a reminder to all who crank the bars all the way it does cause premature failure. The good news is now I have a reason to go Cognito....LOL!

How does your tk handle with the bars cranked up? Do you have stock shocks?

Yeah the shocks are stock and it handles like crap. It always feels like it has a mind of it's own. I'm sure I'll have to replace some stuff up there soon. The bumps really tear my butt up. It does all feel better since I gave everything a good shot of grease though.

Mine looked like it had been a while. Is there an easier way to get to the two fittings that are the most forward ones? I can't see to tell if I have the grease gun on the nipples (he said nipples hehe). I even bought one of those fittings that you slip on at 90 degrees and still had a hard time.

My uncles grease gun that I use, has a hose coming off of it...so you can bend it in circles if you need to, and I haven't had an issue yet. For those far away Nips....I normally push hard, pump it, and if no grease comes out, I just give er' three more pumps and stop. I have a habit of overflowing them sometimes. So basically, if grease sprays everywhere...your not hitting the Nip right.

Cool, Thanks. Boy did I ever over do it. There are clumps of grease everywhere. It's like my truck is marking it's territory with big hunks of grease everywhere I park it LOL!. OOPS....
