they do look pretty clean, the only disadvantage is that if the battery dies, it will be a pita to get in. even if you have a quick release lock for it hidden somewhere, eventually someone will find it and be able to get inside.

I had a set up on my old s-10 blazer and it was very clean look and the kits are easy to install just making sure you get the line nice and tight can be a real pain. but overall they look awsome

My neighbor has his truck shaved. The poppers always act up and lock him out of the truck. I don't recommend it but it does look really clean with them shaved.

I remember a guy I knew had them in a old car. He had like a emergency button to unlock them. But I agree in them being a pain for what its worth. It would also depend on who puts them in for how much it will cost. I know the kit alone is about $300 on ebay.
