| Lbz dually rough ride After selling my 5er, we no longer need the dually to tow heavy loads, occasionally a 4 place snowmobile trailer but that's the heaviest. I was wondering if there is any type of conversion for making a 3500 to a 2500 or somehow making the ride smoother... Anyone know of any dually conversion kits? I want it to ride a lot smoother than it does now... All I have as far as suspension goes are air bags for towing. Also wondering how i would lower the rear end of the dually, it always rode so smooth loaded but now i would rather have it smooth unloaded because i wont tow as much and i have airbags to help tow more, Thanks guys. | u could find a used set if u wanted to.. i personally wouldnt go with gm due to the fact the price will probably be high.. i dont have a link for it but michigan truck spring here in michigan handles stock spring packs at cheaper than gm prices..you probably have shop near u that handles springs also..

| Okay cool, are the springs preloaded? Meaning will it be a pain to get them off my truck if its on a lift? Will they shoot off if a remove the bolt holding it? Ect... And cabn truck drive with just towing airbags for rear suspension? Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com App

| they will be preloaded a little bit dependin on how wore out they are.. i would say if u drop axle off first then pick the truck up with hoist and unbolt there shouldnt be much pressure there at all.......haha well seeing how the leaf springs hold the axle in place under truck im gonna say no u cant drive it with just air bags..lol altho that would be verry funny to see tried.. that would bring a new meaning to a full floating rear axle...

| just take out your overloads first and see if that helps a little. maybe some better shocks? not sure if shocks will do anything but i know with my overloads out its less harsh. if you have bags just let the air out. i know it says to keep 10 psi in them all the time but i dont. i dont see why it matters anyway. good luck. dont sell her yet, she can be made to ride a little better but at the end of the day its still a truck...and a big one.
