Probly so, but that one I drove was a ripshaft. I rode in a couple older 8.1's, they didnt run very well, they werent treated the best but they still seemed like they should have ran better.

I have an 07 classic ext. cab long bed 3/4 ton with a 8.1 in it. Great truck and pulls pretty good but I load it down with firewood or a 18 ft trailer loaded with horse crap. Not even close to what some people haul.

It is a great truck that sucks gas but I have a fleet car for work so I use it for the weekend worker. I have been looking for a LBZ but I am picky when it comes to color and interior. I also have to have a long bed. I thought about keeping the 8.1 and putting a cam in it but I had a diesel in the past and figure this is my last chance to get a diesel before everything gets too much emissions crap on it and the gov. smothers the trucks.

This forum is great even though I have the gasser. The exterior, interior, Allison and misc. are all the same.
