the only bad thing about grille gaurds at least from my experience is weight like hondarider says and if you ever do any mudding or light offroading they can flex depending on design and bust headlamp assemblies or scratch paint. But yours looks pretty heavy duty

Ya weight with the guard is no big deal. Try having a full front replacement. My front end sags because the thing is so damn heavy. I got replacement bumpers front and back and It knocks half a sec off my 1/4 mile time. I say you should get rid of the bug shield thing on the hood, keep the grille, then stick a couple lights on there. I also think it would look better if you painted the chrome part of the bumper. Not sure if it's plastic or chrome but I don't like it.
