Are you leveling by getting the front end up, or rear end down? I put on a leveling kit for the rear, which dropped it 2.5", leveling the truck. I did that because, at 5'7", it was a slight stretch for me to climb in, as well as being worse for my wife and my dog! The rear leveling kit is simply a longer rear shackle, and they are readily available on ebay, and elsewhere. Nothing on the truck is affected except the level of the truck (and the headlights, which needed a slight adjustment).

I did the cognito and have had no problems. I love the ride it gives. I would highly recommend.

Cognito is the best kit on the market. As far as the kits it just depends what all you want to do. Basically your getting new upper control arms and new ball joints. It comes with a bracket for your front shocks since you will be leveling up. If you want to spend more get the bilstien shocks and the pitman / idler arm braces. This is what I installed and it is a very nice ride. Check out ..:: Nor Cal Truck ::.. ..:: Home ::... He has some good packages.

Do it right the first time, Cognito

Did cognito and my truck is like a totally different truck, I didnt want to lift it I just wanted some additional height. I got the standard package from Nor-Cal Truck, if I had my time back I would have got the platinum package because now Im ordering HD tie rods anyway. ..:: Nor Cal Truck ::.. ..:: Online Store ::..

Thats up 2.5 inches in the front, on 285/65's

Here is an ebay link to one of the rear shackle leveling kits. All the shackle kits are pretty much the same, I think, and they will give you 1" or 2.5" lowering in the rear. It does not change the suspension at all, which is one of the nice things about the shackle change. Since it is the rear, there is not adjustment to camber, caster, or toe.

^^ does anyone run that Canuck Motorsports kit?? Looks a little on the "economical" side...

I'm considering a drop myself, but that looks a little too cheap to be good...
