Not sure what kind of silicone you used, but I used the automotive type silicone. It's the chalky white kinda that is suposed to be good for automotive aplications for vibration and flexing..

Mine as been on for over a year with much rain and no problems..

Wow I am not the only one. The recons I have are also yellowed foggy and covered in silicone to stop water from entering the cab.

Is there a setup that someone can recommend that is not crap?

Well I have to say that at least they have a good customer service setup. After this post I emailed them regarding my setup... they got back to me next day which was Saturday.

Everything was long out of warranty, while they did not replace them free, they did give me a hefty discount and told me that the lights and gaskets have been redesigned.

Only reason I am going again is that my brother has not had any problems with his recon stuff, and my 3rd brake light is holding up fine.

Fingers crossed.

You should contact them. warranties@reconaccessories.com

The same has happened to me with the water getting into the center light. What I have done is use clear silicone (weatherstrip stuff) and siliconeing all gaps and no more leaking. Buy all gap I mean below the rubber in between the lens and the rubber and over top of the bolt heads. I also did not use the screws that came with them. What I did use was Stainless Steel machine screws and nylok nuts that way I know it will not loosen after time.
