I have seen them fit on trucks on stock rims, but that is a little wide to put on stock rims. I am putting 305/70-16s on mine too. How close are you with the 285s? you might have to trim a little more, but they should fit without much trouble.

so if u have a leveling kit and done some trimming so theres no problem clearing em, will they fit the rim? im looking to get some true 33 12.50s but i need it to be able to hold up to a good amount of weight

The stock rims are too narrow for those tires....stock are 6.5" and they are recommended for 8-10" rims.

thats what i was about to say but you beat me to it...i love the look of stock hd rims but i thing you should stay with a 285/70/16. my buddy done the 285s and put wheel spacers on and a leveling kit and it looks great, im just not 100% sold on wheel spacers

I just put 305 70 17 on my truck with a 4" lift and it rubs very slightly with my wheels fully cranked. I would'nt try it with anything less than a 4" lift.

I have 305/70/16 for my winter rims and they rub abit with my leveling kit. They are pretty wide...
