Take a multimeter and put it on ohms and check you coils that way, if they are dual voice coil both should read close to the same like if there DVC 2 ohm they will read close to 2 like 1.8-2.2 depending on your subs manufacture or resistance in leads on multi meter. What kinda subs/amp is it? When I first got my audioque 20k I played my 2 18 inch DC lvl 5s rated at 2k RMS a piece on a 8,000 watt RMS amp I blew the one sub right away, and it caused my amp to protect as soon as I tried using any bass. Depending on ur equipment it might be cheap to recone them. Or look in the sundown audio SA 8v2's assuming you have 8's in your truck. Lol hope I helped

You can use a home speaker to test if the amp is working.

I just took the box, subs, amp out of the truck completely.... I didn't even have a truck box that went under or behind the seat, it was just sitting on the back seat lol... Looks alot better now with it all out. I'm just going to wait a few months because I might be selling or trading my truck anyway. By then I'll do it right, with good brand of subs
