I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding you or what but a relay doesn't supply power to anything, it "switches" a power source on and off.

The relay harness that you can add to an HID kit when purchasing it is what I'm referring to. You're misunderstanding me.

You mean one of these? It's just a relay that plugs into your headlight to power the coil and feeds power from the battery to the ballasts. Totally unnessecary in these trucks

Just my thoughts. I I have the same problem with my ddm tuning ones. The but I bought the analog ones. The these interfere with the radio signal. But if you buy the digital ones, they will not interfere with the radio signal. Somebody confirm or rebut what I'm saying
. I I don't want to be saying incorrect information

i have a problem with radio interference with my hids also, i have 2 sets of clearviewdigital ones off amazon with the slim balasts, as soon as i kick the hids on my radio is nothing but static till they warm up, and then its not as bad but i still have some static on any radio station

they also affect my cb radio too, i cant transmit or receive w/o it being very fuzzy sounding when my headlights are on

I've run HID conversion kits in 5 different vehicles and I've never had any reception issues, nor interference with a HAM radio (Of which I've had one or another in each of those 5 vehicles).

All of the ballasts I've used have been either from DDMTuning or Hella.

Now in my race car I have a problem with the RF from the radio crashing the Innovate wideband O2 sensor... But the 6 55W HID ballasts running the headlights and driving lights don't cause any issues.

i have a set of hids in the low beams in my other truck from spencerhids.com and a high beam set from ddm and they work fine in the other truck w/o any problems..well they dont make the radio any worse than what it already is in my other truck

i know its my hids because it only happens when they are on, i can flip them off, just fine, back on, static comes back
