Help with mirrors and keyfob

I have searched but can't quite find my issue. I just bought an 09 Duramax and when I unlock it the tow mirrors seem to reset or something and cycle over and over for a bit. I end up having to re-do them every time I get into the truck after unlocking it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Do you know if they are gm mirrors?

You must have memory seats that are resetting to the previous owners settings when you use the keyless entry remote, mirrors move with the seats.

Do you have memory seats and all that? Key fob #1 will set it to whatever its set at everytime, and key fob #2 will set it different if its programmed differently...if that makes any sense.

Yes they are factory and yes I do have the memory seats. I just have one keyfob. I tried setting the mirrors to the correct spot and then holding down the #1 button until it beeps. I then did the same with the #2 button hoping this would set it correct regardless of which remote I use. That didn't change anything. I agree is is tied to the remote, but I can't figure out how to reset it. On my last truck you just held down the passenger 1 or 2 until it beeped to set all controls.

Just wanted to update a work-around for the issue. If you turn off the memory seat option the mirrors also do not try to go back to the settings in memory when the unlock button is pressed. Not ideal, but way better than having to re-adjust the mirrors every time you unlock the truck. Now I have an issue with the dome light, but I'll post that in a different thread.
