Wiring and non edge backup camera to the cts

I have searched and found answers but I need them to be even more simple than what I've found. Imagine teaching a 5 year old how to do this... I hate to make fun of myself that bad but it's kinda true.

I have read where you wire it up to one of the fuses under the hood but I don't have enough cable sooo

Anyway here is what I have:ImageUploadedByAutoguide1358788963.954969.jpg

So I should just splice in more wire to the red wire and ground the black wire to a fender bolt or a bolt on the frame at the back? And put the red wire here?:

So I am wiring this up and the only wire small enough in the shop is speaker wire. Does it matter if I use it? Other than it looking stupid? (everything is being wire loomed anyway.)
