Which guages??

Yea so i was wondering if anybody on here has a bulldog watchdog or a quadzilla scout. I wasnt quite sure which one is better and is more accurate. Im thinking the scout becasue it has a turbo time kit. The only downfall is that the quad doesnt show mpg. Any input would help greatly

They are both good units. I would not worry about the Scount not having the mpg reading. The Bullydog does look alot better than the Scout though.

We've sold a lot of the scout monitors, and had great sucess with them. Not a single complaint! If you'd like a price on either set up, let me know!

Yea i was leaning toward the scout. I dont have good luck with bullydog and like i mentioned the scout has a turbo timer so that would save me money down the road.

Just "installed" the Watch Dog. 2 wires, 3 min. So far (I have not spent much time with it) it seems really good.

Im also considering the watchdog, Insight, or just stick with mechanical. I like the idea of getting more info from the insight and the watchdog. Any more opinions??

The Digital gauges are my favorite. You can monitor so much more with them, and they are not much more expensive.

I would personally stay away from the watchdog.

I've read ALOT of review from people that are having troubles with the watch dog and have sent them back. The readings are slow and not accurate.

If I remember correctly the watch dog plugs into your OBII port, along with the probe for your EGT and another wire. Also from what I've read, the readings are slow b/c they are coming from he OBII port, there is to much delay time. Most off my findings/what I've read were from guys with dodges. And I know there different than a Duramax but the parameters there suppose to read are the same.

I've also talk to 2 people that have the Scout and they LOVE it.
It has some delay, but that is expected when using digital gauges. They said the deal was very minimal and not noticeable.

The one thing that I don't like about the watchdog is that there is only one model for a gas or diesel. Where as the Scout is engine specific, LB7, LLY, etc.

I am looking at getting a Scout and I will report my experience with it.

This is just my 0.02 cents and what i've come across from reading.

If anybody out there has one there Duramax they can be more help to our engines.
