Ok, so I know this get covered a lot on here, but probably not in this regard. I have the factory radio setup w/ the cd in the actual radio and the useless cassette player lower in the console. Wondering if I unhooked the cassette player if I could use the outputs and wiring to somehow hook up my ipod to run through the factory radio using the input from the cassette? Does this make sense? I'm tired of listening to my tunes from a fm modulator and getting mostly static. Any other ideas besides buying an a/m radio (theft here in AZ is rampant)?

You have the casette that you put in the casette player that hook up to you iphone. that is good. Or you can buy the harnest that plug in the back and use the radio control to control the ipod.

I just changed hypertech max energy set on stage 1 for better fuel economy to the quadzilla stealth 2 set on on economy and the difference is awesome. better driving, shifting and fuel economy.
P.S.
My fife didn't want me to buy the truck and buy all the upgrades for it so I decided to get rid of the wife!!!!!!
what about the tape player adapter thingy? You put the tape in the player, then plug a cord from the tape into your ipod. They used to be really popular, and the sound is great compared to an FM modualtor. Best thing is, it's only like $10 for one.

Thanks guys. Guess I never thought of that particular way of doing it. I do remember when you used to use them though to play a portable cd player through your cassette. I'll try it out. Any more suggestions?

Go on Crutchfield website.... Not sure about an 02 but they had an adapter for mine that you plug in the back and it had an interface to work with steering wheel controls if you have them. If you don't see it on the website call them.... those guys know their stuff. I am almost positive that they make an adapter for this and it will sound WAY better than FM or cassette adapter becuase it will be pre amped..... Do you have Bose?

No Bose and I really don't want anything like FM modulator or cassette quality. I never thought of Crutchfield, I'll have to call them. Just wasn't sure if I could somehow wire it up to the input for the cassette player that I obviously don't use!
