Boost/pyro gauge?

I installed my autometer c2 boost and pyro gauge today. tapped pryo constant power to aux 2 in fuse pannel. works fine. boost gauge works fine too. question is when i tapped my pyro and boost lighting power for some reason the boost backlight is alot brighter than the pryo backlight. they are tapped together to the same spot. could it be b/c the wire i used for the boost is a heavier gauge wire than the one that was in the pyro wiring harness.

sounds like the dimmer one may have a bad ground. Those wires are very small may be just a slightly bad connection.

I have the ground for the boost and pyro crimped together with a connector and grounded on a post with a nut fastening it. All the connections were checked twice and they were all good. This is driving me crazy, can't figure it out.

Go to Radio Shack, get a pack of 330 ohm resistors and install one in-line with the dimmer switch wire. It will make them light up almost identically, and cost's about $1.

You need to hook the resistor up for the light in the gauge itself. So take a spade connector, crimp the resistor into that, then crimp a butt connector to the other end and then crimp the butt connector to the dimmer wire attached to the gauge.

Here's a pic

Use it for both, tie the two wires together at the butt connector.

I gotcha now. Thanks a ton. It gets really annoying seeing two different brightnesses at night. I'll post back with my results.
