I have a Garmin 260, and she talks to me with street names and directions. The screen is easily viewable while driving. Look for a unit that has a large 'points of interest" database.

I have the nuvi 260 and just love it. It is like taking the wife alon without all the potty stops. She (Jill) tells me where to turn and how to get back on track when I miss the turns. She even knows the street names.

Just bought Teletype WorldNav 330060
Commercial truck routing, you can input you rig weight height length and Hazmat (ie: LP Gas for the camper), it then routes you around any restrictions or low bridges and takes the length into account for turns (for those of you that have 5th wheels... I have a Lance slidein truck camper that sits at 12.5 ft, so bridges are a big concern, so is the LP for tunnels.

Very visible screen in direct sunlight, voice commands are a little choppy, but all in all, I feel it was worth the money from the standpoint of being able to punch in so many specifics about the truck (wt, hgt, length)

Over 12 Million points of interest, as I drive I see every deli, pizza place, bank, gas station, all with phone numbers, even home businesses in my residential neighborhood, looks like they have everything covered as far as that goes.

Unlimited waypoints, high accuracy, also does other silly stuff like video's, MP3, pictures etc, 4 gig memory, excellent phone tech support.

WorldNav 330060

I've had it only for a few days, but does what it says, no complaints.

Hope that helps...

Wow...I"m surprised most of you actually like the Garmin. I own 2 different Tom Tom devices and will never use a Garmin for as long as I live. I know two people who have Garmins and they can't even find my home town, or the place I live at now. Tom Tom finds both and all streets and houses. Plus Tom Tom is able to go in the woods with you and do walking, biking, etc.... It also gives you real time traffic alerts, weather, etc.....
