i have an 07 classic and i would like to be able to play my ipod in my truck. is there a way to connect it to the factory dash unit? i do not want a plug in deal through the cig lighter because the audio quality is terrible and i got the lt3 package for a reason. anyways, id like to be able to play it. are there provisions in the factory unit to accept it somehow? thanx!!
He is currently using as the FM transmitter... and I have never heard static.. his aftermarket radio will be in next week and he then will be using it with the aux plug in....

I would also like to know, I;ve been suffering with the fm transmitter. My sister has an 08 malibu and she has the aux plug right in the radio. I was wondering if the tahoes or something have them, and masybe they will fit in the trucks?? It was a thought.

the new body styles have them right in the front of the radio but the classics do not. i dont want to change head units and then loose my thumb controls on the wheel just to get my ipod to [play but i dont want to play it though the fm transmitter, they just sound terrible
If you don't have an AUX port on your stock stereo...which I'm almost positive you don't...you have to buy an aftermarket stereo or go FM. If you buy an aftermarket stereo you can buy an adapter for $100.00 that will still let you use your steering wheel controls. I know it's pricey, but you can get an aftermarket stereo with AUX port for like $99.00. So going aftermarket with Stereo and thumb control adapter might cost $250.00 tops...and that's really not that bad....and if you use a place like Circuit City...you can get free install.
