Since I went the cheap route and bought the truck with the LT option I didn't get the fancy MPG computer.


Has anyone used one of these?

I think that you can get an add on part from gm to get all funtions i found it online was about 100 bucks and looked like it was easy to install at home.
I found it at gmpartsonline.com, I think that is the correct address to use I cant seem to find the exact web site now but I got to it from the chevy.com web site to add things to your car truck I think was the heading above the web site that I clicked on.
I was looking at this part when I was shopping for my new truck but I got one with the upgraded DIC buttons from factory. I hope this helps.

My buddy just added a dic for his lmm it ran about 120 from dealer and snaped right in, it wound up on the left side of wheel for his ls , now my ltz is located on the righr side of wheel, its a great add on and lets you know everything at a tap of the button.

I have a scan guage II.....It's OK, but I wouldn't write home about it. MPG info is BAD, never even close. I have E-mailed the company several times & all went into their e-mail pit somewhere never to be hard from again......The only thing I really like it for is that the gallons to empty display is really close (go figure - it knows how many gallons I have left & how many mies I have driven, but cant tell me my MPG even close). I have the old chevy save-a-buck 24 gallon fuel guage in a 34 gallon tank, so when the guage says "empty", I have only used about 25 gallons of fuel - hate hauling around 10 gallons when the guage is empty......
