wiring problem

I have a 2005 Duramax 2 wheel drive 2500 hd.
My trailering wiring is going whacky.
When I activate my right turn signal the 4 way flashers activate on the trailer but the signal works properly on the truck.
I had the truck checked and the trailer is NOT causing the problem.
I have an appointment at the dealer Tuesday Morning but I was wondering if anybody has also had this problem?
The rv dealer here checked the wiring and the plug on the truck and both fuse panels(under drivers dash and under hood) read 4 way flasher activation somewhere in the trailer harness.
Is there a relay or diode I can swap out to fix this problem? My local GM dealer charges$95.00/hr to diagnose electrical problems.

usually all my wiring problems are ground related.

definately sounds like a ground issue, but it could be a bad diode that is allowing feedback

After 35 minutes and 200 bucks it was found to be the turn signal relay that was malfunctioning.

That's a hard pill to swallow, but at least it's now fixed. I hate electrical stuff, but when it's something that could affect me or my passengers safety I want it fixed.
