| what do you make? alright guys i know this is kinda personal, but im curious as to what you guys do and how much you make. there's already a thread on what you do, but i'd like to know how much you guys make at what you're doing. you guys have some badass trucks and the stuff ain't cheap. Im considering going back to full time ff but I'll only make about 20k starting out (that's if i find a department that's hiring). If nobody wants to participate in this thread, i completely understand because income is a pretty personal thing. I'm just curious because I need to make sure that I'll be able to afford my expensive diesel addiction. Now mind you, I talked to my parents about how i don't think ill make enough money and they said that i can still live at home and they'll charge me very little rent, until i have enough money & can afford to move out. Right now im living rent free because im attending college and i am very appreciative of that and i make sure my parents know that. Again, if you guys don't want to participate i completely understand and won't take it the wrong way Thanks in advance

| All I can say is "Get an Engineering degree, and you wont have to worry about it." Now if I could only get my wife to understand its my money not her money, I would already have a new truck. |

| Not enough..... lol. Yet. Look into an accounting degree too. You can literally get hired to do anything you want with it, and most places start you out at around 50k/year. Not to mention that number increases pretty quickly. 70k-80k a year isnt out of the question by the time your 3 or so years out of school. As for me I got to school most of the year just have summers off. I build kitchens and do other custom wood working so I can make as much as I want or as little as I want. This year has been on the low side because its really my last summer off till I retire one day so I have been lazy and just relaxed a lot. Made enough to buy the shit I wanna buy and said the hell with it.

| Yeah the first few years as a CPA really suck no doubt. But once you make it a little way up the ladder its smooth sailing from there on out. Youll work a lot of hours in the busy season then you got lots of time to just chill. And you get to travel a lot as a public accountant as well. I do doubt many people are gonna share that info tho, just a guess... Especially none of the guys makin 200-300k haha. I can't say I blame them. Dont blame you either, its interesting to know what jobs are available and what kinda cash you can bring home doing them. I usually rely on google for that though. Hell I know a guy who runs a meat processing place and take in tons of peoples deer every year. He makes about 120k in 3-4 months and then sits around and relax's the rest of the year. Who'd have ever you could make that kinda money choppin up deer?
