I don't know much about it but it sounds like a terrible idea for someone like myself

Well... They also sell house and life insurance. So I assume 24-hour cameras and anal probes will be next.

I also assume EVERY other insurance will follow suit. And since they have a few dollars to spend on lobbyists, you can rest assured their practices will be protected by law.

Oh... And those monitoring tools can be analyzed in China or India just a well as in the US, so.... If you or your families have vast fortunes of controlling stock in those companies, sit back and get ready to count your money. (Or if your just an average Joe working for insurance, sit back and get ready to be outsourced... However, your rates may go down a few bucks).

I thought about getting one and just leaving in my truck when I'm not driving it just to screw with them. Does anyone really believe they would let your rates go down?

It would be interesting to see what parameters it actually has the ability to record

Progressive is already HUGE into Data Mining, selling your personal info, makin' big buck$. This is just another extension of that. That slimey little lizard isn't much better.

I'd look elsewhere for cheaper rates, like a local co-op or farm bureau.

I'd be curious to see what is monitored too.

i wouldnt be surpised to it monitoring your speed and everything else in the computer..just like on-star..i would think they could use it against you when you get into a wreck, then they get you for speeding or anything else they can

^They would use against having to pay for your mess-up due to data showing you over the speed limit or whatever. It's just another mechanism of control for corporate and government entities. They already got chips in the works....like the one in my Husky's neck.........

If you've ever scanned your vehicle with any scan tool then you know what they can monitor. Which is WAY to much. There is no way in hell I'd install one of these on my own free will.

Speed and GPS coordinates are two that are bad enough off the top of my head.
