Glow plug resistance?

Does anyone know what the resistance in LB7 glow plugs should be? I keep finding different info, some of it says I have a few bad ones, but other info says they're all good.

Why does no one ever respond to glow plug topics? Resistance is an easy one. It's unbelievable that either no one knows, or cares!

I will help. Glow plug resistance is not hard. There should not be more than 1 ohm of resistance on a Duramax glowplug.

OK, cool! Thank you so much for the reply. Now here are my results, using 3 different ohm meters. Make the decision that much harder.
#1 1.2, 1.1, .7
#2 .8, 1.2, .9
#3 .8, 1.3, .9
#4 .8, 1.1, .8
#5 .8, 1.4, .9
#6 1.0, 1.2, 1.0
#7 .8, 1.2, 1.1
#8 .7, 1.2, 1.1

As you can see, depending which meter I use, all of them could be good, or bad...

This^ they need replaced. They are right on the edge of being over 1 ohm and like mike said a brand new set is very low.

CONCLUSION!!! I had a friend jump on Mitchell On Demand for me and grab a wiring diagram for me. I verified I had the wires in the right spot, but there are the two wires coming from the harness that go to the intake heater and glow plug terminals. Both mine are tan, but the diagram showed a tan one to the intake heater, and a blue on to the glow plug terminal. I cut back the insulation and one wire was blue, and then was spliced to a tan wire! After switching the locations (cause of course they were wrong) and the issue is fixed! Te glow plugs are good with around 1 ohm of resistance. Just thought I'd let everyone who cares know that its fixed and to give future people with this problem who search some conclusion to read.

1 ohm is still extremely high on those glow plugs. But i guess if they are working, then no need to replace them till they actually die.
