Buy a pistol.

The other day my girlfriend woke up at about 6:30 am, crying (sobbing, hiccuping, and the works.) She had a dream that i got shot working a craigslist deal.
I buy and sell equipment off of craigslist alot, which means i go all of to some pretty back woods places.
I was wondering if i should buy a pistol and carry it with me when i go.
I NEVER go by myself.

I honestly feel like carrying a gun increases my odds of being shot, than going unarmed (not unarmed, but idk if a pocket knife counts).

What do you guys think i should do?

conceal carry, there when you need it, however shouldn't be noticeable so you take no more of a risk than not having one at all. i will be honest i carry everywhere i go but i dont tell anyone i have a gun on me unless pulled over. seems like anymore with the way things go id rather have a way of defense!

I'm kind of laughing at your thoughts here..

How does carrying a gun up your odds of danger? It should go way down.

Yes you need a pistol. People are way too effed up these days to not carry. J carry all the time, have a concealed carry permit, and feel way safer doing it.

You need a firearm. You are meeting people you have never met, and there are Craigslist scams everyday where the seller lists a good deal to lure people in then rob them blind when they meet up.

I carry. I don't rely on the government for a dang thing. When you need one precious seconds will be at stake so don't rely on someone else to come running to help you.

necesita la pistola!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oy vey oy vey da MStirteens gonna robs youz!

in english that means get a gun because there has been a gang (MS13) that is supposedly luring women through crying children to rape them, as well as other people through craigslist ads (supposedly) and robbing them. Now that is down in San Antonio and i don't know how far north this gang goes, but you never know...

I completely agree. There is no way carrying a gun will increase your odds of danger, unless you're being irresponsible and looking for trouble. I carry concealed anytime I'm out, and I sell lots of stuff on CL also. No way I'm going to a sale without it. Buy a gun that feels good and will be easy for you carry, buy a good holster, take a safety course, and get your CC permit.

Aside from how that really made me fell, why do you feel like this ? Seriously.

Im not close minded, this is just not my thinking at all, so im curious.

Also, if I were you i would look into a smaller gun to keep with you if this is all you wish it for. Smith and Wesson body guard is a decent gun, cheaper 380s can be had though
