The light on the truck has two wires Black and a Blue one. I assume the blue one is positive and black negative. I bought a replacement but its a three wire. Red (high) black (low) a d a white ground. I bought a universal plug and was just going to go white to black for ground and black (low) to red (positive)for power

Its the stock light above the license plate I'm replacing

The red on each side are reflectors. Trying to keep DOT off me for the tails. Which still REFLECT and the light CAN BE SEEN for 500ft, so accordingly LEGAL...by the LETTER of the law but INTERPRETATIONis another story!

Ok... The link (>>>Rear Clearance Light<<<) I provided in my 1st post is the stock light bar that goes under the tailgate right above the license plate.

Thanks, but the stock is waaaaaaaaaay over priced. I bought a 12 inch with 19 led's the same one I put on my car hauler 7 years ago. (With just 3 m tape) for $18.99.
It looks great and that was the correct way to wire it unless you want high power, which probably won't last as long.
But thanks for the reply.

Yes its the $18.99 one and I got it at a Shell truck stop in Lufkin, tx. Many truck stops will have the same one its the General something brand. It still works great and its extremely bright
