Hydroboost unit??

The last month or so I've had a power steering whine & hard steering and today a new problem. When I apply the brakes there is a hissing sound. Could they both be symptoms of a bad hydroboost unit? Also i just noticed when I hold down the brake petal I hear a grinding noise.

First try doing a system flush, see how to info on this forum. Plan on using a gallon of fluid before you are finished. Lots of people here have done it.

I just did a flush two days as well due to the whining noise. It reduced the noise and made the brake pedal feel better. I assumed it was the pump starting to go. Do you get a flutter of the brake pedal if you quickly push it as well?

Thats exactly what mine does but it works really well other than that and the slight whine, hopefully its the pump and not the hydroboost. I'll post if anything comes of mine.

Didn't mean to quote again, was double post from phone.Hard to tell the origination of the sound in the cab for me. Sometimes it seems more from the center.
