What does this mean?

it was brought up on a scan on a 06 LBZ

Do these steps
Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the generator.
Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the generator turn ON signal circuit terminal B and ground.
⇒ If greater than the specified range, test the circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM/PCM.

Engine running, test for greater than 3.5 volts between the generator turn ON signal circuit terminal B and ground.
⇒ If less than the specified range, test the circuit for a short to ground, an open or a high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM/PCM.

If the circuit test normal, replace the generator.

wow, thanks.

sounds complicating, i dont have the truck with me to test it. i did a prepurchase inspection and it came up. so is it a big deal?
