watching GM tv on closed circuit tvs inside the Design Center... was able to watch a speech made by GM where they said that there being forced to meet certain MPG and EP requirments an the big engines and big trucks have taken a back burner....

now with out getting my self into trouble certain plants and places are building NEW places for hybrids and other cars that meet certain MPG criterias. They have a diesel engine in a small car right now that is getting 60s MPG ... it looks like a pontiac VIBE in vehicle size

... now this said you know there going to raise gas so PEOPLE say hey i need a good mpg car to afford it .... its all BS !

x2 on that. i would love to see this happen. personally i would cut the tree down with them in it.....we would cut our trade deficet by 1/3 third employ more people and keep all that extra money in america. but of course this makes no sence, i hate liberals

well i hate tree huggers just as much as the next guy but i say if they wanna drive pu$$y hybird crap then let them. i dont have a problem with that at all in fact its awesome that makes them that much easier to pass. but what you drive should be your choice if i wanna drive my 7000 pound truck daily or my motorcycle i should be allowed to do it if you wanna save the world thats great by a prius and some rope while your at it but for those of us who care about what we drive and actually know how to drive those jerks shouldn't be able to run our lives

Fire every person just above an actual line worker. Re-hire all the way up. Nobody in that company should be making more than 100k/year (not even CEOs) until GM is running smoothly on there OWN money. Someone needs to go in and clean it up, re position people, take some of the upper mangt. people and offer them a lower paying job or hit the road. Most of the issues are at the top anyway.

Maybe they could get some people to work in mangt. that actually know a thing about cars too. I'm pretty sure I could go throu a list of the cars that GM sale and number in order which will sell the most. Theres a few that need to be on hold, and a few that need to be on hold. I dont think focusing on green cars is the hot ticket, yes they need to produce them, but I dont see it being the main focus yet.
