you guys all suck! Im still paying 3.39 here in fairbanks and we have a refinery in north pole. In north pole and on base it is 3.59. I dont really pay attention to gas prices, but i know they are quite a bit cheaper than diesel.

My wife happens to work at a local refinery, and its interesting to hear what the price is doing a few days before its seen at the pumps... and usually why.
Obviously, diesel fuel is highly dictated by the price of oil, but just as much, which doesn't seem to be discussed much in the news... but this strange and new system called capitalism... the price is hugely dictated by demand.
Local prices reflect true costs of refining diesel as well as demand... just like eggs and milk.
