06 cargo van with a duramax

Hi guys...

what the difference between the diesel engine in the gm savana cargo van which is a 6.6 liter turbo diesel engine and the other engines that produce 360hp?
This thing only produces like 250hp and 460 ft lbs of torque?

Can it be modded?

I'm sure it can but be carefull of the trans which is a 4L85E. Not as strong as the Allison. I would do the Transgo HP2 kit before the horsepower.
