6.6 liter turbo?

how do i know if the turbo in my truck works? i have a 6.6 liter durmax diesel... and im guessing it has the turbo. oh the last time a mechanic checked it out and he said it was very clean for a 2002 with 75,000 miles? how do you know its being used?

If it drives it works... I unhooked my intercooler boot off the turbo once for a smoke show.. It smoked but took me about 1 minute to get going 30mph for fear of melting pistons lol ahh the good ol days

You have a Duramax and you don't know if the turbo works? I highly recommend you read the manual for your truck and read extensively into these forums to understand the maintenance for your Duramax.

You don't really need it, its just that shiny/spinny thing that you can't see through the housing on top, don't really need it. You should do a turbo delete system and sell that thing!! I'd give ya a couple hundred for it.

x2 that turbo delete kit really helps the MPGs.

hey i get it all the time guys "that thing got a turbo???" leave em be...to the OP (orginal poster) if the truck moves the turbo works and yes they all came with one! some of us even added an extra one!
